IPRA World Championship Rodeo Was Riding High at the Cumming Fairgrounds on Aug. 29-31

The International Professional Rodeo Association (IPRA) has been providing rodeo excitement for more than 50 years. From big cities to small towns, from major league stadiums to portable arenas, the IPRA is the sport’s second largest professional rodeo association sanctioning nearly 300 rodeos. The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) is the largest. The IPRA is keeping the spirit of the west alive from coast to coast throughout the United States and Canada.

The rodeo features seven traditional events in which cowboys and cowgirls can compete for points toward an IPRA title and prize money.  The competitive events include bareback, bull and saddle bronc riding, barrel racing, calf and team roping and steer wrestling.

Dave Horton, Cumming Fairgrounds director, said, “It’s always an exciting show.  You've got not only world-class stock, but you also have some world-class cowboys and cowgirls.
The judges watched every move.

The art of riding.

The grace of falling.

A barreling beauty.

Ride 'em cowboy.
