The Gwinnett Library System in partnership with Eddie Owen Presents, AJC Decatur Book Festival and Eagle Eye Book Shop presented a discussion with Rick Bragg on his latest book, Jerry Lee Lewis: His Own Story.
The greatest
Southern storyteller of our time, Pulitzer Prize-winning and New York Times
best-selling author Rick Bragg, tracked down the greatest rock and roller of
all time - Jerry Lee Lewis - and got his story directly from the source.
Prior to the storytelling and talk by Rick Bragg, Kurt Scobie got us in the spirit with a medley of Jerry Lee Lewis songs. Kurt Scobie's powerfully expressive lyrics and percussive piano style had a magnetic effect on the entire room.
