Want a healthy breakfast or a yummy snack? Try Greek yogurt and organic blueberries drizzled with local honey. I used Dazzle Mountain Farm and Apiary's wildflower honey to prepare this dish.
Below are the reasons why this is a healthy snack:
Plain Greek yogurt has
double the protein, half the carbs and half the sodium of the regular variety.
Blueberries’ fiber, potassium, folate, vitamin C, vitamin B6 and
phytonutrient content, coupled with their lack of cholesterol, all support
heart health. The fiber in blueberries helps lower the total
amount of cholesterol in the blood and decrease the risk of heart disease.
Honey contains natural antioxidants, enzymes and minerals including iron,
zinc, potassium, calcium, phosphorous, magnesium and selenium. Vitamins found
in honey include vitamin B6,
thiamin, riboflavin, pantothenic acid and niacin.
